Get your ATPL from Breda Aviation, the #1 modular trainer

Enjoy the Sky learn to fly! As Breda Aviation, we are an ATO (Approved Training Organisation). As an ATO, we offer modular and therefore flexible ATPL training. Our focus is on quality, service and flexibility. We aim to offer you the most suitable training and give you as much space as possible as a student to learn and experience.

We always start with an intake and look at the best option for you: After an intake, the selection starts. Before you start training, we will check together whether you have the right level to successfully complete the programme. The training to become a commercial pilot is at HBO level. We also check whether, after completing the programme, you stand a good chance of being hired by an airline company. This gives you a clear picture of your competences, your chances of finding a job and avoids (expensive!) disappointments afterwards.

Breda Aviation in the professional and expert training of pilots and our partners provide support in soft-skill training, APS-MCC, ATPL theory and guidance to that seat at the front of the cockpit, among others.

Personal character with lots of personal attention: The course is small-scale and personal so that you receive optimal guidance and there is room for good contact between you and the instructors. Small classes, intensive guidance, excellent facilities and plenty of personal attention. All in a friendly yet professional atmosphere.

Experienced instructor team: Breda Aviation has a highly experienced team of instructors. Each and every one of them is a top-notch instructor, eager to train you to become a fully-fledged commercial pilot and to do everything to get you that seat in the cockpit.

Modern, state-of-the-art fleet and learning tools: Breda Aviation has a modern fleet of aircraft that perfectly matches the training. There is also an online student tracking system, BredaPedia, which contains all learning resources and additional information. Together with our partners, we have more than 15 years of experience in guide of aspiring pilots towards a job in the cockpit. Through individual training courses, attention to soft-skills, job application coaching as well as promoting pilots at airlines, you can shape your future self-confidently.

Spread payment gives you peace of mind: You pay for the training in parts and not the whole amount upfront. Despite the extensive and professional pre-selection, there is a chance that circumstances may arise that require you to stop in between or take a break. So then you will have paid only for the phases you followed.

Flexibility: The planning of practical lessons can be done entirely according to your own schedule, you specify preferred dates and we plan the training around these. The intensity of the lessons is also up to you, naturally from a joint plan. You can even continue your job alongside the ATPL training.

Airline Transportation Pilot Licence (ATPL) theory

For our ATPL theory, we work with Distance learning. We partner with Orbit Groundschool for this purpose. Orbit Groundschool has an online system based on BSG (Bristol Ground School) where you take the Progress Test (PT) remotely through Orbit Groundschool and you take an online brush-up. Once you have successfully completed the PT and brush-up, you can take exams on site at Orbit Groundschool through Austro Control.

In addition, it is also possible to take the exams not at Austro Control, but through the CBR.

Soft-skill module training part of ATPL

As the only flight training course in the Netherlands, we also include 'soft-skill' training in our package. The soft-skill training, given in cooperation with our partners, is divided into modules that are integrated into our curriculum. The training starts after completion of your ATPL theory. You will complete most of the modules in-house at Breda Aviation. Because the instructors actively fly with renowned airlines, your preparation for an airline job starts at an early stage. Besides personality analysis and communication training, interview, application and presentation techniques are also covered. So after these modules, you will know exactly what airlines look for in selections. You will learn how you as an individual can optimally fit into that picture fits and thus already gets an edge in future selections.

Airline Pilot Standard - Multi Crew Cooperation (APS-MCC)

APS-MCC training goes much further than a regular MCC. Because not only 10 extra sim sessions are done, but also a lot of attention is paid to the ins and outs of an Airline, an APS-MCC diploma gives a clear advantage in selections. Besides aircraft handling, competences defined by EASA such as decision-making, leadership, teamwork, workload management and situational awareness are also amply covered. All sessions are done on a certified B737 simulator, on which airline pilots are also trained and on which you will also fly with an airline during your selection. A thorough preparation that matches our goal: guiding you to a job in the cockpit!

Medical examination, 'normal' health is sufficient

A medical examination can sound quite intense when you first read or hear about it. Especially if you have had something in the past or are suffering from something now. This is not a problem at all and in many cases it will not prevent you from flying. However, we do advise you to undergo a medical examination at the start of your training. For the ATPL this is a class one medical examination (EASA Class 1). The reason to do this at the start is because you can only fly solo and/or take exams once you have a valid medical certificate. It can also save you a lot of costs to do this at the start, if unexpectedly it turns out that the medical certificate is not at class one can be issued.

Discount on your inspection: We work with AEC Medicals here at Breda International Airport. As a partner, we can offer you a discount should you decide to do your medical examination there. This is of course not necessary, you are completely free to choose your own aeromedical examiner.

Our fleet is modern and fun

Basically, your ATPL training starts with obtaining your PPL (Private Pilot Licence). We use the Aquila A211 for this purpose. This is a modern two-seater in which all PPL practice can be flown. This low-decker is equipped with modern avionics and a spacious open cockpit.

Apart from this, there is also the option to get your PPL on the Tecnam P2010. This is a very complete and modern high-decker. This aircraft is also used for the Instrument Rating (IR) part of the ATPL training.
